OUR SAUNAS
At Sven Sauna & Steam, we’ve been designing and manufacturing high-performance sauna solutions for nearly 30 years, supporting both commercial and domestic clients across the UK.
What is a Sauna?
A sauna is a heated room typically between 65°C to 90°C featuring natural, unpainted wood interiors and precise temperature controls.
Traditional saunas use heaters with stones that absorb and radiate heat. Water can be poured onto these stones to produce steam and increase humidity. Alternatively, saunas can be heated with infrared panels that warm the body directly, rather than the room air, offering a different kind of heat experience.
Commercial-Grade Sauna Heaters
Our Sven commercial sauna heaters are trusted by hundreds of leisure operators throughout the UK. Known for their durability, safety, and reliability, our heaters are engineered to withstand the demands of continuous daily use. We maintain a full stock of replacement elements for our entire heater range, ensuring fast and efficient service support. Even if your heater isn’t a Sven unit, our service department may still be able to supply compatible elements—just get in touch.
We also offer a range of high-quality sauna heaters for the domestic market, combining performance and aesthetics to bring the spa experience into the home.
Sauna Refurbishment
Commercial sauna cabins operating up to 18 hours a day can show significant wear within 4 to 5 years—stained benching, scorched timber, and odours caused by trapped moisture and bacteria. If your sauna is beginning to show signs of fatigue, we offer a comprehensive refurbishment service that will restore your cabin to as-new condition.
We also provide CAD drawings and quotations for all your requirements.
If you prefer to carry out the work in-house, we can supply full refurbishment kits and detailed installation instructions.
Sauna Timber Options
We supply a wide selection of kiln-dried and thermally treated timbers ideal for sauna construction and refurbishment,
Including: Thermo Radiata Pine, Thermo and non-thermo Aspen and Alder, plus traditional white pine.
